Hello. I am Tiare pronounced Tee-are.

Full-time angel/goddess artist and instructor.

And I’m so glad you’re here.

Art lived in me long before I had words for it.

I grew up in Chicago, surrounded by strong, loving women, women who taught me courage, resilience, humor, and creativity simply by how they lived. But somewhere along the way, I absorbed a familiar message: that art wasn’t practical, and artists didn’t make money.

So I did what many of us do. I went to college for marketing. I took a drawing class while I was there. one that quietly drained the joy out of creating and eventually, I put my pencil down.

For a long time, art waited. 18 years to be exact.

When Art Found Me Again

When art finally came back to me, it wasn’t neat or polished, it arrived in a flood of emotion. When I picked up my pencil and made that first mark, it came with tears. That moment felt like coming home.

It taught me something I still believe deeply:

Creativity doesn’t disappear. It waits for you to return to it.

That idea sits at the center of everything I share.

What I Paint & Teach

I’m a mixed media artist and instructor, best known for angel and goddess-inspired art and intuitive art journaling. My work is rooted in lived experience, memory, emotion, and spirit. It’s fueled by listening, playing, and allowing the page to hold you.

Whether your art is bold or quiet, messy or peaceful it’s yours, and it matters.

Why I Teach

I began teaching because friends started asking me about my process not to copy it, but because they were looking for permission. Permission to be curious. To express themselves freely. To create with joy and confidence.

I believed then, and I still do, that:

  • Creativity belongs in life, not on a schedule

  • You return to it when your heart is ready

Teaching has always felt natural to me, first as a tutor, then through workshops, and now as the creator of The Angel Painting Club.

I love creating spaces where women can:

  • feel safe and welcome at their art table

  • create without judging themselves

  • let go of perfection

  • trust their intuition

  • grow at a pace that feels right

There’s no pressure here.
No comparison.
Just a gentle invitation to come back to your art.

The Women in My Work

The women who raised me live in my paintings.

I often paint Black women without faces, not because they are unseen, but because they are many, and cannot be defined. They represent my mother, my friends, my play aunties, and generations of women whose strength, tenderness, wisdom, and love shaped me.

They are presence and memory rather than portrait. Painting them is how I honor where I come from.

What You’ll Find Here

Here, you’ll find:

  • Mixed media art rooted in presence, not performance

  • Creative prompts that meet you where you are

  • Space to reconnect with joy, intuition, and peace

  • A community of women who understand

  • A reminder that creating matters — in your art and in your life

Over the years, I’ve guided thousands of women through seasonal workshops focused on creative confidence, doing things afraid, and finding beauty and gratitude in everyday moments. These experiences have only deepened my belief that creativity isn’t about getting it right, it’s about showing up honestly and imperfectly, again and again.

And Just So You Know…

I’ve been featured on HGTV and published in various magazines and blogs. But what matters most to me isn’t where my work has appeared, it’s that you feel calm, confident, and connected at your own art table.

So if you’re here because your creativity has been calling you back…

You’re in the right place. 🪽
Come back to your art — whenever you’re ready. 💗

“My art reflects the wonderful women (and sometimes men) who informed and continue to inform my life…my mom, neighbors, teachers, friends, 2nd and 3rd mom. Black women. Strong women. Smart women. Beautiful women. Loving women. Do you women.”
